ARGENTINA

The first leg in our Argentinian tour began with a day-long excursion, utilizing 4 buses and 3 boats as we disembarked from Puerto Montt and headed to our destination in Bariloche. Along the way we we visited Vicente Perez Rosales National Park which contained the Petrohue Waterfalls. We cruised through the Nahuel Huapi National Park in the foothills of the Patagonian Andes, which is part of the Argentine Lake District.

We arrived in Bariloche, an idyllic town situated in the foothills of the Andes on the southern shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake. This provided us with great vistas of Mount Tronador, with its alpine landscape consisting of fjords, glacial lakes, and u-shaped valleys. One of my favorite vantage points was at the top of the Punto Panoramico with views of Mount Lopez and Lago Moreno.
