In 2026, I spent five days in Death Valley, California, with a group of photographers. This is the largest national park in the USA, with incredibly varied terrain. We were able to photograph the rugged topography, including Badwater Basin, Twenty Mule Team Canyon, Zabriskie Point, Saratoga Springs, and Dante’s Peak. The highlight of the trip was camping out for two days in the vicinity of the Ibex Dunes. This required hiking about fifteen miles over two days to get optimal lighting of the dunes. During one of the shoots, we captured the Milky Way at 3:00 AM! Shown below are examples of my photographic experience.
